𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐠𝐨 : Ethiopian forward Abubeker Nassir has been linked with a potential move to Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko. Asante Kotoko second club linked with abubeker first club Raja Club Athletic.
The 24-year-old recently parted ways with South African club Mamelodi Sundowns and has been invited for an assessment by the Kumasi-based club.
Nassir made the switch to Sundowns from Ethiopian Coffee at the start of the 2022/23 season, following an impressive run in the Ethiopian top-flight. Despite a promising start in the Premier Soccer League, injuries restricted him to just 18 appearances, resulting in a modest tally of four goals.
The forward has also been a regular feature for the Ethiopian national team,
participating in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon and the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Prior to his move to Sundowns, Nassir scored an impressive 29 goals in 22 Ethiopian Premier League matches, earning him the league's Most Valuable Player and Best Young Player awards in the 2021-22 season.
