RUMOURS : AL AHLY'S SOUTH AFRICAN TARGET TO AL WAKRAH SC

Ahly’s South African target Teboho Mokoena is set to join Qatari giants Al-Wakrah from Mamelodi Sundowns, according to reports.

African champions Al Ahly have been linked with a move for the Mamelodi Sundowns’ star for some time now after impressing during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 27-year-old has played every single minute on South Africa’s road to the semi-finals of the AFCON, scoring an emphatic victory against Morocco in the round of 16.

However, it seems like Mokoena will be heading to Qatar instead of Egypt as Al-Wakrah are closing on sealing his signature this summer transfer window.

Qatari news outlet AlKass broke the news that Mokoena will now partner Egypt’s and former Al Ahly player Hamdi Fathi in midfield
